Triumph 350cc lineup has surfaced online ahead of its official launch in India, revealing key performance details of the downsized models. The new range is set to include the T4, Speed 350, Scrambler 350 (X/XC), and Thruxton 350, all based on the brand’s existing 400cc platform.

The move to a smaller 350cc engine is understood to be a strategic decision driven by India’s taxation structure. Under current norms, motorcycles above 350cc attract higher GST rates, which impacts pricing. By reducing engine displacement, Triumph is expected to position these motorcycles more competitively in the market, directly targeting rivals such as Royal Enfield.

According to the leaked specifications, the 350cc versions will see a modest drop in power compared to their 400cc counterparts. The T4 350 is expected to produce 29 PS at 7,500 rpm and 31 Nm at 5,500 rpm. Meanwhile, the Speed 350 and Scrambler 350 models are rated at 37 PS at 8,500 rpm and 32 Nm at 7,000 rpm. The Thruxton 350 will remain the most powerful in the lineup, delivering 40 PS at 8,750 rpm and 32 Nm at 7,500 rpm.

Performance figures indicate that the reduction in displacement has not significantly affected real-world usability. The Speed 350 is expected to accelerate from 0–100 km/h in 8.1 seconds, while the Scrambler 350 does it in 8.8 seconds. The Thruxton 350 is close behind at 8.3 seconds, and the T4 350 completes the sprint in 9.6 seconds.

Top speed figures also remain competitive, with the Thruxton 350 leading at 157 km/h, followed by the Speed 350 at 147 km/h, Scrambler 350 at 144 km/h, and T4 350 at 137 km/h.

Despite the lower engine capacity, Triumph is expected to retain the core characteristics of the 400cc models, including design, features, and overall riding dynamics. The upcoming 350cc range is likely to carry forward the same premium appeal while benefiting from a more accessible price point.

An official launch is anticipated soon, with the new lineup expected to strengthen Triumph’s foothold in India’s competitive mid-capacity motorcycle segment.
